Cambridge Bi Meet moving to Tuesdays
There will be Cambridge Bi meets on Tuesdays starting next month. This is intended as a Town & Gown event with CUSU LGBT and anyone from the old meets. Tuesdays make a lot more sense for people hence the move... So, there will be a Bi Meet from 8pm at Clowns Tuesday 1st Feb (with the view to the first Tuesday of the Month in future). It'd be great to see people there and get the meet up and running again. Comment or PM me if you have any questions.

Cambridge Bi Meet
There will be a Cambridge Bi Meet at Clowns Cafe from 8pm this evening. Hopefully I will actually be able to make it but if not there should be lots of lovely people as this will be a joint meet with the existing bi meets and CUSU LBGT so lets get lots of people along and give the bi meets a good push off for the new academic year. The monthly bi meets on the first Wednesday of the month, everyone welcome, town and gown, bisexual, pansexual, bicurious, supportive of bi people, ....

Clowns is an accessible venue (at least we believe so - please get in touch if there are any problems and we'll try and help), and serves hot food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks into the evening. If you want to know more about accessibility or anything else relating to the meet then comment or PM me.

Sorry for the late notice and my uncertain attendance.

Bi meet today at Clowns
Hey everybody,

The next bi meet is on Wednesday 3rd February from 8pm, in Clowns on King Street.

The table will be marked with an octopus soft toy for easy identification if you haven’t met us before.

Hope to see you there!

Next Meeting: Wednesday 2nd December
Hey everybody,

The next bi meet is on Wednesday 2nd December from 8pm
, in Clowns on King Street. Please see the entry below for a Google Map showing its location.

It will definitely be in Clowns this time, as we’ve been reassured that they have now re-opened following some plumbing difficulties.

The decision's been made to move from the Boathouse to somewhere more central and accessible. Clowns is a bit of an experiment, so any feedback is greatly appreciated.

CHANGE OF LOCATION: Despite assuring us they would be open, Clowns are closed again! We've rearranged for the Tram Depot, who do not have a Christmas menu so should be affordable. I've phoned and confirmed. We'll meet there from 8pm, and food is served until 9pm.

The table will be marked with an octopus soft toy for easy identification if you haven’t met us before.

Hope to see you there!

Bi meet MOVED to the Boathouse tonight
I've just found out that Clowns is closed tonight. The bi meet is moved to the BOATHOUSE (nr. Staples Corner) instead, and is still at 8pm. Apologies for the last-minute change. If you know someone is coming, please text them to let them know!

Next meet, and new site for cambridge_bi
Since not everyone uses LJ, _breathtaken has flexed their web muscles and set up a site for the Cambridge Bi group. Cheers!

The next meet is on the coming Wednesday, 8pm in a new venue, Clowns - full details on the new site.

See you then! :)

This time it really is bi meet night.
It's bi meet night!

8pm at the Boathouse near Staples, just north of the river.

We'll be sitting inside, and the table will be marked with an octopus soft toy and also with me, if you know me, or would recognise me from the userpic. My mobile number is 07824 429 613 if anyone has trouble finding the place, or would like to be met outside or whatever!

Limited parking is available round the back of the pub - turn in just near the recycling place. Failing that, there are also free car parking spaces at that time of night all along the same side of the road as the Boathouse, especially on the road alongside the top of Jesus Green.

I'm sorry about accessibility for anybody for whom steps or pubs are a problem. I'm currently looking for alternative venues for at least some evenings - please suggest any if you think of them! (Currently considering: CB1, Clowns.)

See you there :)

Meeting tonight at 8pm at the Boathouse
Sorry, this is kinda last-minute, but there IS a bi meet tonight. It's at the Boathouse, 8pm - so that's usual place, usual time.

palmer1984 has asked me to take over hosting the Bi meet, which means that their amazing hand puppet octopus will no longer be marking the table. Do not fear! The table will still be marked by an octopus, but it will now be Simon, my pet blue (fluffy) octopus instead. And so, continuity is assured.

Any questions / problems finding the venue / other issues, please contact me on 07824 429 613.

NOTE: A couple of people have pointed out to me that there are accessibility problems with the Boathouse. As I'm now organising both the Bi and the Poly meets in Cambridge city, I'm looking for venues for both of them which are more accessible to people who:
- Are wheelchair users
- Don't want to be stuck in a pub
- Aren't in the north of the city
- ... any other access concerns I should be taking into account? Let me know.

Any suggestions are welcome, but I'm thinking perhaps CB1, upstairs? Maybe even CB2? (will have to scout them for wheelchair access).

For tonight, though, it's the Boathouse as normal.

bi meet - a change
I just found out that I have my first Open University tutor meeting tomorrow (wednesday), so I won't be able to make bi meet until 9.30 or so. If you're coming earlier, you'll have to arrange between yourselves to meet someone!
